To claim your copy, you’re required to download the GOG Galaxy 2.0 app on PC and then link it to the platform where you already own a copy of the game. Once that is done, a GOG version of the Witcher 3 will then show up in your game library. It’s worth noting that whatever progress that you’ve made on the console version will be carried over to PC as well. GOG said that this would include a player’s save progress, as well as all of their unlocked achievements in the Witcher 3.

Download GOG GALAXY 2.0 👉 https://t.co/YwhMFvdCuW Offer lasts until June 23rd, 11am UTC pic.twitter.com/vciHBPNOSL — GOG GALAXY 2.0 (@GOGGalaxy) June 16, 2020 Those who already own the PC version of the game via Epic, Steam or Origin (on top of owning a copy on console, of course) will receive a DRM-free version on GOG. It’s not much, but at least you’re getting something if you’re feeling a bit greedy. However, there’s a small catch for those claiming a free copy of the game on PC.

Those who own the standard version of The Witcher 3 on consoles are eligible to claim it via GOG, but the game will exclude all of the DLC expansions. Which means that if you’re looking to continue progress in Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine, you’ll have to purchase these DLCs again on PC. Meanwhile, those who own the Game of The Year edition are entitled to claim the same version on PC with no shortcomings. The GOG giveaway for The Witcher 3 is currently ongoing. You can claim your copy from now until 23 June 2020. (Source: GOG [1] [2])
