According to a recent video from Gamers Nexus, sources close to the site’s founder said that NVIDIA is already geared up to announce the existence of its new GeForce RTX 30 series on 9 September. Basically, that’s a full week ahead of the earlier 17 September launch date that was initially rumoured. On another unrelated note, and at near the start of the video, Gamers Hexus also mentioned that, contrary to yet another rumour, NVIDIA isn’t planning on discontinuing the production of its GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU. At least, not just yet. At this point in time, the tech site had found out that some board partners are still ordering the GPU from NVIDIA, so it doesn’t seem likely that the board will go out of production in the near and immediate future.
If the alleged 9 September launch date is to be believed, though, then the cards genuinely couldn’t come any sooner; the current Turing-powered GeForce RTX 20 Series have been around since their launch in 2018, and it goes without saying that NVIDIA’s desktop graphics card range is in need of a refresh. More so than ever, especially since AMD is also expected to launch its “Big Navi” GPU in the same month too. (Source: Gamers Hexus)
